Overview The senior manager, Corporate Responsibility, is part of Intuit’s Public Relations function within the corporate communications team and is responsible for driving external communications strategies for Intuit. This role’s primary focus is on sharing the positive impact Intuit makes in the world through initiatives focused on job readiness, job creation, financial education, climate and sustainability. It also includes Intuit’s initiatives focused on diversity, equity and inclusion, and positioning Intuit as a workplace of the future.
The role will create and execute comprehensive PR communications strategies that support Intuit’s Corporate Responsibility efforts to support Intuit’s positive reputation. They will also lead communications for the company’s initiatives that foster Intuit’s innovative, inclusive environment and hybrid ways of working where our employees bring their whole selves to work, feel connected, and are inspired because they are doing the best work of our lives.
The Senior Communications Manager Corporate Responsibility will contribute to integrated communications strategies, while driving a steady rhythm of always-on media coverage, speaking opportunities and other external communications opportunities. This person will partner across the Communications organization, and with multiple stakeholders, across People & Places, Legal, Corporate Responsibility and other functions within Intuit while also contributing heavily to coordinating with social media and employee communications teams on key activations.   • External communications, with focus on media relations expertise, is required.
  • Deep expertise in multiple areas of Corporate Responsibility and ESG, including environment/sustainability, social and education programs, diversity, equity and inclusion, workplace, and community impact, etc.
  • Strong writer with expertise in message development and PR communications planning.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to lead by influence and keep a diverse set of marketers and communicators aligned and working collaboratively.
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects at a time moving fluidly between projects and programs with different stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, ability to hold themselves and others accountable to deadlines.
  • Operates with high integrity.
How you will lead MEDIA RELATIONS: Build and drive end-to-end media relations programs and strategies throughout the year, in service to Intuit’s overall marketing and communications strategy.
  • Provide strategic counsel and direction on Intuit’s Corporate Responsibility and Intuit’s internal work environment communications strategy, to put Intuit at the center of relevant topics.
  • Manage always-on external storytelling which includes developing proactive pitch ideas, announcing new initiatives through earned, owned, and shared communications opportunities.
  • Develop and broaden relationships with top industry, business, and consumer press in service of elevating awareness of the work Intuit does to power prosperity in the world.
  • Secure and shape coverage with top industry, business and consumer media for executives and leadership on corporate responsibility-related themes and topics.
  • Create robust thought leadership platforms that advance Intuit’s Corporate Responsibility priorities and prepare executives to share these initiatives through media training, interview preparation, etc.
  • Co-manage Intuit’s PR agency to deliver results on priority proactive media outreach.
  • Secure and shape external speaking and discussion opportunities on relevant topics.
  • Lead the creation of the annual Corporate Responsibility and DEI reports.


STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT AND PARTNERSHIP: Maintain key stakeholder relationships and develop cross-functional partnership opportunities for Corporate Responsibility and Intuit work environment-related content, campaigns, etc.
  • Partner with the investor relations team on communications tactics and key indexes (e.g., Bloomberg GEI, JUST Capital, Investor Day).
  • Partner closely with the extended Corporate Communications team to craft integrated communication plans to present one Intuit including DEI, workplace, and other teams to plan end-to-end communications strategies, stay up to date on their program strategies and creatively connect their stories and platforms with media for storytelling.
  • Manage relationship with public policy and crisis communications leaders to ensure integrated campaigns and multicultural engagement.
  • Advise senior leaders as situations arise (e.g., providing commentary on key issues, etc.).
  • Contribute to mission-based teams and workflows as needed (e.g., multicultural stakeholder programs, sociopolitical response team, CR report team, Trans+ Summit).
